On February 16th at Bal Harbor’s Saks Fifth Avenue, Drs. Diane Walder and Stacy Chimento joined other members of Women of Tomorrow at Donna Karen’s Spring 2014 collection debut to raise funding for the Women of Tomorrow’s Mentor and Scholarship Program. As a founding board member in 1997, Dr. Diane Walder has helped to develop a preventative program for young at-risk women in our nation’s public schools to help them overcome obstacles and to attain their dreams. Through the help of successful professional women in the community, these young women are exposed to opportunities otherwise unavailable to them. They are able to develop vital professional and personal skills to attain success. Over $3.4 million in scholarships have been awarded to almost 1,300 young women. While currently serving 43 Florida and 13 Metro Detroit cities, the organization will expand its services to Philadelphia, PA and Charlotte, NC.
