Remove Those Stretch Marks
There are many great ways to eliminate stretch marks after pregnancy. A quick, safe, and easy way to remove them is with the V-beam perfecta treatment. A pulsed dye laser is utilized in this treatment which allows discolorations and pigmentation abnormalities to be removed. This is a great treatment for stubborn blood vessels, redness, and many other skin conditions.
V-beam perfecta uses an intense light that is safe to for the skin. The light targets the treatment area, and a cooling device assists in keeping the layer of skin protected. A numbing cream will first be placed on the treatment area, and protective eye wear will be worn. The laser will then be placed on one area at a time, and the number of areas treated will determine the treatment length. This treatment may also require additional future sessions to maintain the effects. Though regular activities can be resumed immediately, it is recommended that the sun be avoided after treatment.
Get Rid of Cellulite
One of the struggles that many women face after pregnancy is dealing with the extra baby weight. This weight can be challenging to lose but, worse, it can be combined with the addition of cellulite. Even after losing all of the baby weight, cellulite can still be challenging to get rid of. Ultrashape is a great technique that can break up the extra fat pockets in the body and remove them. The treatment involves locating the pockets of fat that need to be eliminated using a 3-D mapping device. A handheld device that delivers ultrasonic waves is then utilized on the areas where the fat deposits are found. The ultrasonic waves will cause the fat cells to erupt because of the high energy that is being held over the skin. The fat cells that collapse will allow the fat pockets to reduce and can melt away inches of fat. The fat will be permanently removed, and results will continue to improve over the course of a few weeks.
The procedure can take approximately thirty minutes for each area that is being treated. Common areas that ultrashape is utilized on include the inner and outer thighs, stomach, hips, knee pads, and the bra line. There are many other areas that ultrashape can be utilized where tightening needs to occur. During the treatment anesthesia will not be administered. The procedure is considered to be one of the safest spot-reduction methods that is currently available. A few treatments may be needed to remove all of the cellulite desired and smooth the skin. The sessions should be completed at least two weeks apart from each other, and normal activities can be resumed afterward.
Velashape is also a noninvasive treatment that can tighten sagging skin that is left after pregnancy. This technology utilizes radiofrequency and infrared energy waves to improve the appearance of cellulite and tighten sagging skin. The treatment can also improve stretch marks. Velashape requires at least three to six treatments that are spacd at least one week apart. The treatments can be performed on any area of the body and can provide great results that are beneficial in multiple ways. The procedure can be completed at least a couple of times per year to maintain the smooth skin. The treated area may be red or warm after the treatment, but this will fade within a few hours. On rare occasions swelling or bruising can occur.
Reduce Unsightly Veins
Visible veins, often appearing on the legs, can be unsightly. They often make it difficult to confidently wear shorts and skirt. Fortunately, scleotherapy and laser technology can help to remove these unwanted veins without surgery. Scleotherapy can eliminate spider veins or capillaries that are dilated and close to the surface of the skin. These veins usually occur on the legs and can be caused by sun damage. Sclerotherapy is completed within one office visit that lasts for approximately one hour. No anesthesia is required and it is considered to be painless with little discomfort. A solution of Asclera or hypertonic saline is injected into the veins. This allows the veins to collapse and fade away. The process with take a few weeks to occur and will remove not only the appearance of the veins, but any discomfort or pain that they caused.
Laser technology that is now offered to remove unwanted veins includes varilite and v-beam perfecta. The varilite laser utilizes beams of light to target the veins that are under the surface of the skin. Larger blue vessels and smaller red blood vessels can both be removed within a matter of minutes and be gone forever. Varilite can be used not only on the legs but on the face and chest also. V-beam perfecta is a laser that utilizes pulses to destroy lesions under the skin while leaving the surrounding area unharmed. This treatment can assist in treating veins in the legs and can be administered multiple times. Depending on the size and depth of the vessels, the procedure may need to be repeated. All of these vein removal procedures require no recovery time and regular activity can be resumed immediately.
