Although our main priority is to give our patient’s the best care and service possible, we try to make some time to give back to the community whenever we can. This is what we have been up to lately! As a long time supporter of the Children’s Home Society, whose sole mission is to protect children from domestic violence and to create safe environments, Dr. Walder has generously contributed to this wonderful organization.
As one of the original founders of the Women of Tomorrow Mentor and Scholarship Program, Dr. Walder has mentored and changed the lives of many young women in the community. This organization was developed to inspire and assist at-risk young women to accomplish their dreams through the help of successful professional women and scholarship opportunities. Dr. Walder is currently raising small donations in order to provide brand new netbook computers for all of her mentees and to provide scholarship awards. Please assist Dr. Walder in attaining this goal by visiting her Mentor Challenge Page at http://womenoftomorrow.kintera.org/mentorchallenge/dianewalder
Dr. Walder is also an Honorary Board Member of the Lotus House Women’s Shelter, which is a resource center for homeless women and infants in the Overtown district of Miami, FL. In addition, we are active supporters of the Dermatology Department at The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and Resident Research Fund.
